Does your eCommerce company know how to use LinkedIn for marketing effectively? Goldie Chan is the Oprah of LinkedIn (according to the Huffington Post), she was voted one of LinkedIn’s top voices and as one of the top 5 leaders when it comes to LinkedIn video, she is an authority on the subject. You might be mistaken, given her credentials, for thinking Goldie has always been involved in digital marketing, but her LinkedIn accolades are relatively new. She only started posting daily videos on LinkedIn in 2017. She kicked off her working life as a geneticist, studying Biological Sciences at Stanford before making the leap to digital marketing and posting daily videos on LinkedIn. She’s had her share of failures along the way figuring her life was already over at 22, but she wasn’t to know her early setbacks would be the making of her. No one could've predicted that her new direction would see Jeff Weiner, CEO of LinkedIn mention her in a keynote speech, or that the Head of Video Product for LinkedIn, Peter Roybal, would dress up as her for Hallowe’en. “It's so crazy to me that one video became 10 videos. And then at 10 videos, LinkedIn reached out to me and was like ‘your videos are very weird, we want to talk to you because you're not using the platform like we intended’... I was just enjoying being creative and building a community from scratch because that's what I did - I built this amazing creative community via video creators on LinkedIn from scratch.” Key takeaways How Goldie became the Oprah of LinkedIn How eCommerce brands can use LinkedIn for branding Why conversion on LinkedIn differs from any other channel Which you should build first - your personal brand or your brand page How to get employees to engage with company content The most common mistakes eCommerce brands make on LinkedIn Resources: LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/goldie/?trk=lil_instructor Twitter - @GoldieChan Website - https://www.facebook.com/warmrobots/

A hierarchy of evidence (or levels of evidence) is a heuristic used to rank the relative strength of results obtained from scientific research. I've created a version of this chart/pyramid applied to CRO which you can see below. It contains the options we have as optimizers and tools and methods we often use to gather data.

This is a bonus episode with Emily Robinson (Senior Data Scientist at Warby Parker) en Lukas Vermeer (Director of Experimentation at Booking.com). In her earlier session that day, Emily said that real progress starts when you put your work online for others to see and comment on which in this case was about Github. Someone from the audience wondered how that works out in larger companies where a manager or even a legal department might not be overly joyous about that to say the least so I asked Emily about her thoughts on that. Recorded live with audience pre-covid-19 at the Conversion Hotel conference in november 2019 on the island of Texel in The Netherlands. (oorspronkelijk gepubliceerd op https://www.cro.cafe/)
